The Big Eat 2011 {Part 3}

I'm kind of a creature of habit: when I find something I love at a restaurant, I pretty much order it over and over again.  This is the case with the carnitas tacos at Tacolicious (I've talked about them here).  It's never really occurred to me to try something else. So imagine my surprise when 7X7 left them off of the Big Eat List.  Really?  But alas, they did and horror of horrors, they included carnitas from other places throughout the city (Nopalita does have amazing carnitas, I have to admit).  What they did include was the tuna tostada.  So...

I went to Tacolicious with two of my girlfriends from high school.  There is lots of great Mexican food in our hometown, so it was only fitting to end up there together.  I ordered the tostadas, but I couldn't go to Tacolicious without having the tacos too.  The tostada was quite good.  The tuna was fresh and delicious and the chipotle sauce was a nice touch and the flavor really came through.  All-in-all, a great warm-up to the main attraction.  The carnitas were perfection, as always.  Try them when/if you're in SF.  Seriously.
